dhoop uses food as a lens. Through this lens, we can interrogate culture, sustainability, design and the systems that sustain life. Initially, we started as a magazine focused on stories of food and its intersections. Over time, it has grown into something more profound—a space, a research platform, embracing a multidisciplinary approach that invites collaboration and deeper inquiry.

We believe that food is more than just sustenance - it’s a lens through which we can view and understand the intricate web of relationships between nature,  culture,  sustainability, and design.

We are a small team of people who are passionate about uncovering the stories behind the food we eat. Through conversations around food, nature, culture, sustainability, and design, we aim to inspire our readers to think more deeply about the food they consume, and the impact it has on the world. We believe that the way we look at and tell these stories has the power to move, shift, and nudge us towards a more thoughtful and sustainable way of living. hope to encourage our readers to think critically about the food, people and culture.
